La primera participación de la galería de origen argelino en la renombrada feria de arte contará con la presentación del artista paquistaní Waqas Khan y el surcoreano-americano Timothy Hyunsoo Lee en la sección oficial, con gran interés en acercar las obras de ambos artistas emergentes a un público cada vez más amplio.
Esta exposición resume bien la seña de identidad que Sabrina Amrani lleva transmitiendo desde su nacimiento como galería: minimalismo y experiencias personales casi íntimas que, surgiendo en occidente, se van extendiendo a través de todo el mundo. En el caso de estos dos jóvenes artistas, sus prácticas meticulosamente geométricas que desafían los límites de la comunicación presentando obras de gran formato son todo un reto para los aficionados al arte de cualquier parte del mundo.
Podrá verse esta participación desde el jueves 26 de febrero hasta el 1 de marzo en el pabellón 9, stand 9F02 de IFEMA. Para los que aún tengan hambre de más, el próximo viernes 27 de febrero a las diez de la mañana, Sabrina Amrani celebrará en su galería (calle Madera, 23) un ARCO Gallery Breakfast. Y más allá de ARCOmadrid, el espacio propio de Sabrina Amrani presenta “De profundis”, una muestra del artista malgache Joël Andrianomearisoa inspirada en la carta homónima que Oscar Wilde escribió en su estancia en la cárcel, y que puede verse hasta el 28 de marzo. Esta exposición traslada a la audiencia a un mundo de sombras, de amor prohibido, pero también de esperanzas y desasosiego.
Con rasgos propios del mestizaje entre culturas, Sabrina Amrani llegó a España en 2011. Nacida en Francia, con orígenes en Argelia, la galería cuenta con nombres de artistas de todas partes del mundo, como Amina Bembouchta (Marruecos), Waqas Kahn (Pakistán), UBIK (India), Marlon de Azambuja (Brasil), Timothy Hyunsoo Lee (Corea del Sur) o Jhafis Quintero (Panamá).

The first appearance of the Algerian original gallery Sabrina Amrani in the renowned art fair ARCOmadrid will count on Pakistani artist Waqas Khan, as well as the South-Korean American artist Timothy Hyunsoo Lee in the oficial section, with a great interest in approaching the works of both emergent artists to a big audience.
This exhibition sums up the seal of identity that Sabrina Amrani has been transmitting since its origin as a gallery: minimalism and personal (almost intimate) experiences that, appearing in Occident, they spread throughout the world. In the case of these two young artists, their meticulously geometrical practices defy communication boundaries, presenting big format works which are a challenge for every art enthusiast in any part of the world.
This participation can be seen from Thursday 26th of February to the 1st of March in the 9th pavilion, 9F02 stand of IFEMA. For those of you still hungry of more, next Friday 27th of February at ten in the morning, Sabrina Amrani will celebrate an ARCO Gallery Breakfast in their gallery in Madrid (calle Madera, 23). And beyond ARCOmadrid, that same Sabrina Amrani space in Madrid will present “De Profundis”, a showing from the Madagascan artist Joël Andrianomearisoa inspired in the homonymous letter Oscar Wilde wrote while he was in prison. This exhibition can be seen until the next 28th of March, and it transports the audience to a dark, forbidden love world, also full of hope and unease feelings at the same time.
