Burberry Womenswear Autumn_Winter 2015 Show Final_002

Burberry Prorsum Otoño-Invierno 2015/2016

English

The British firm was one of the most expected dishes in London Fashion Week at the beginning of this week. Last Monday 23rd of February, fashion shows in Kensington Gardens got filled up with expectations about the imminent Burberry Prorsum Fall-Winter 2015/2016.

Among Burberry friendly celebrities like Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Jourdan Dunn or Cara Delevingne, other familiar faces could be seen, like Mario Testino, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Paloma Faith, Sam Smith or Clare Maguire, who performed and sang four songs for those who were present.

Beyond the presence of celebrities, the fashion show was the most desired show in British runways by far, and it could be said that it fulfilled its expectations with a collection that remains faithful to  the sophistication that has always been an identity mark of the brand. This Fall-Winter 2015/2016 women collection is named Patchwork: weaves and prints, clothes in autumn colors: brown, orange, khaki… Geometrical shapes, fringes and vaporous dresses, the English firm has followed the omnipresent boho chic style steps and gives a twist to his classical fashion designs.

The firm didn’t forget about make-up at all, as it was present in a smoky-tone palette, naturally bronzed skins and matt lips; the best accessory for these patchwork pieces, besides the bags and footwear that were also introduced.

Visibility in social networks was one of the highlighted features in the event. Burberry allied itself with Twitter through #Tweetcam to offer the social network users the most immediate pictures from the fashion show, just like it did with Line and its Japanese users in a  live streaming, and in Snapchat, where backstage moments and the arrival of guests were published under the concept Fashion Week in LDN.
